How to write a CV
Your CV really is the most important part of your application as this is what enables potential employers to see your experiences and knowledge within a position. To create the perfect CV, follow the steps below:
- Month and year for each position (employment and education) as well as Job Title and Company.
- Responsibilities for as many positions as possible, especially focusing around your desired sector eg. Health and social care as that makes you more relevant to a position.
- An achievement for each position if possible – this again shows that you value the difference you make on others.
- No CV Gaps – ensure that all gaps are covered – e.g unemployed, studying etc. Again month and year this so that when the potential employer sees it, they will see the reason why you have been out of work and how long for.
